Honest, Homegrown, Handcrafted Pizza
Salt Yard Pizza.
Sourdough Neapolitan.
Good vibes only.
48-hour fermented sourdough pies made with organic love from our kitchen garden. No shortcuts, no nonsense—just damn good pizza in Newquay.

Our Menu
How We Roll
We do pizza the way Nonna would approve. That means 48-hour fermented sourdough that's been loved on for two full days, organic flour from our mates at Cornish Grains just down the road, and veggies we literally picked this morning from Gannel Valley Gardens, our own small farm just up the road.
Every pie gets kissed by fire in our pizza oven until it's got that perfect leopard-spotted crust. This ain't fast food—it's slow food done fast.

Seasonal Specials
Our monthly specials are built around whatever's popping off at Gannel Valley Gardens — from heritage tomatoes to woodland mushrooms.
Our Farm
Grown at Gannel Valley Gardens
Just outside Newquay, tucked in a quiet valley, sits our little farm: Gannel Valley Gardens. It's where we grow the good stuff — heritage tomatoes, basil, chillies, edible flowers, woodland mushrooms, and whatever else the season throws our way.
We pick fresh every morning and bring it straight to the harbour. No middlemen, no lorries, no nonsense. Just proper ingredients grown with care, cooked with fire, and served with love.
When you taste a Salt Yard pizza, you're tasting the valley too.

Our Mission
"Slinging honest pies since day one—from our dirt to your plate"
Why Us
Why We're Different
We're a family-run operation that actually gives a damn about what goes on your plate and what happens to the planet.
Garden-Fresh Daily
One-fifth of what we serve comes straight from our 1-acre organic garden. Those heritage tomatoes? We grew 'em. That basil? Picked it an hour ago.
Hyper-Local Heroes
Our flour travels 10 miles. Our meat? Often less than 1 mile. We work with legends like Mush Love for mushrooms and local fishermen for seafood.
Zero Waste Warriors
Every scrap gets composted. All packaging is bio. Leftovers get fermented or pickled. Great pizza shouldn't trash the planet.

The Salt Yard Story
The Story Behind the Dough
Salt Yard started with a simple idea: what if pizza could be both ridiculously delicious AND good for you? Growing up on an organic farm, I learned that the best food comes from respecting the land and the craft.
Today, that same love for the land lives on at Gannel Valley Gardens, our small regenerative farm in the valley. It's where we grow the tomatoes, basil, mushrooms, and herbs that end up on your pizza. From our dirt to your plate — literally.
As a chef, dad, and teacher, I wanted to create a spot where families and young folks could grab something real—made with traditional techniques, local ingredients, and a whole lot of heart. Every pizza we sling is a little rebellion against fast food culture.
